and sadly, it does appear as it's going to be louisiana or mississippi, seven years to the date almost to the time when katrina came ashore and in this red, hurricane warnings and in the blue, tropical storm warnings and clearly, the models are converging on this scenario for new orleans and winds of 70 miles per hour. the pressure dropped quite a bit today and look as those when it makes the landfall and it will strengthen until the point that it comes ashore, it could be a category 2 with winds of 100 miles an hour. the big concern is not so much where it comes ashore but the storm surge, which could be six to 12 feet in some areas and hope the folks not protected by the levee will be getting out of the way and then can you see where our continued track takes it up through some very drought- stricken areas and that is a one-side benefit. overnight, some clouds and an early-morning shower for us. 73 degrees and after the early morning showers and a rumble of thunder go by, it's a drier afternoon with a temperature of 88 degrees and this is the five- day forecast into labor day weekend
